Peter Levine is a general partner at the Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and the former Senior Vice President of Strategy at Citrix Systems. Levine joined Citrix in 2007 through its acquisition of Xensource. Levine was President and CEO of Xensource for one year and eight months, working unsuccessfully to grow the faltering company's revenues, and ultimately deciding to sell the company. The price tag ($500M) paid by Citrix for Xensource raised quite a few eyebrows given that the annual revenue of Xensource at the time of acquisition was less than $1M. Ultimately Xensource never delivered on its promise and Citrix did not obtain any significant revenue from the Xen hypervisor. Prior to Xensource, Levine was a general partner at Mayfield Fund for a short time. Levine was also the CEO of Mendocino software from incubation (at Mayfield) until the company was shut down because it could not raise a round of funding. He was an early employee of VERITAS Software Corp., beginning his career as a software engineer. Levine has taught marketing and sales at the MIT Sloan School of Management and currently teaches at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.〔 He has a B.S. in Engineering from Boston University and attended the MIT Sloan School of Management. At Andreessen Horowitz, Levine leads the firm’s investments in enterprise software including data center infrastructure, enterprise applications and mobile computing. He serves on the board of directors for twelve enterprise companies including Bromium, Actifio, Mixpanel, and GitHub. ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Peter Levine (venture capitalist)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
